LibrarianRyan I miss the iconic windows. One of the owning families said they had to change the windows because of all the people taking pictures of and in the windows. 4y
IamIamIam @LibrarianRyan Yes, and they also changed the address for the same reason. I was driving on a side street leaving and there are a number of other houses that are the same construction and unaltered. I don't get over there too often but next time, I'll do a side by side. 😁 4y

IamIamIam @4thhouseontheleft They were changed at least 20 years ago if not more. There was a creepy dark brown house that was the same design but set sideways on the property so the front door is in the proper place. The property at the Horror house is long and that's the boathouse on the right side on 4y
IamIamIam @4thhouseontheleft *ugh* not "on", of the photo. I'll definitely head back next week and get more photos of the other house. That being said, Amityville has a lot of gorgeous Victorian houses with intricate gingerbread style moldings. I love driving around there and it's been a good 25 years since I spent time with old friends from high school! 4y
