This is another quote that made LOL. In light of the ridiculous conversation between the Mechanicals, and Nick Bottom volunteering to play every part, and Snug earnestly wanting to learn his lines because "I'm slow of study" and being told "it is nothing but roaring"—I snorted.

Couldn't find the artist for the image above of Snug as Lion.

1. Thanks for the sentiment, Will. Unfortunately, it still exists. Either a girl's got brains OR beauty...but never, ever BOTH.

2. No story is complete without PUPPIES!!! (Even Shakespeare knew that!)

3. What is a good Shakespeare play without a carcass? If it doesn't have a carcass or a dead body, it's just not worth my time.

readinginthedark It‘s interesting how Shakespeare spears the treatment of women in his plays, even though he himself didn‘t seem to treat them very well (based on how he acted to his wife). 6y
