I can't rave enough about this book. I am so glad that I found it and that I was able to share this with some elementary-age children. When I asked them what the story meant, they definitely understood that autonomy and being able to do what you want is important. They also recognized that it's not helpful to be mean - people who want to follow their dreams should be able to follow their dreams. A lovely read for the young ones!

If there was a book about Kaylee from Firefly when she was a young girl, it might be Interstellar Cinderella. It‘s fun, and feminist, and you gotta live a Cinderella who knows she‘s too young for marriage and opts for being a mechanic instead.

All of the books we got in for our mobile/pop-up library are so charming.

Turns out I hit the wrong button. The previous post was what I added to my TBR pile Nov 15. Here is what I actually read. 1 book. 1 picture book. That is all. Hummmmm. Technically I read more books than that I just haven't finished them all yet. 😜

Since it's #TBT I thought I would hate what I was reading at this time last year... not much. My TBR pile can tell I have a different job.

Cute. The plot is the typical Cinderella story however the illustrations are beautifully done.
