Mehso-so

I liked the antagonists as the main characters. Unfortunately, the story was not thrilling at the beginning.

Mir hat es sehr gefallen, dass aus der Sicht der grausamen Albae geschrieben ist. Teils hat mich die Geschichte allerdings nicht mitgerissen. Und ich hätte mir detailiertere Karten zur Welt gewünscht.

Not book related, but I either need someone to be angry with me or explain to me: how. How can a party that says they care about life but then try to get rid of and cut education and other human service programs. Words and actions are not in alignment and I find myself getting so furious and then sad. I just don't get it. I sincerely hope this doesn't pass. 🤞🏻

BookishFeminist Follow the money. 💸💸 The current GOP is less about values and more about saving pennies regardless of human and quality of life cost. (Obvs this is overgeneralized.) this is infuriating, though. Rally friends & call state reps like it's your day job. 😬 7y
haileybean @BookishFeminist the speculation of why they're doing this is because MN had a budget surplus. They're bargaining with small childrens' educations because they want Dayton to budge on something else. It's horrifying. I only know one of the Reps we have for our district because I went to school with and graduated with her kid. He's a peach. 🙄 I'm going to have to make some calls. 7y

BookishFeminist @haileyhugsbooks Best of luck, I know how awful state legislatures can be since I'm in Virginia now & we're notoriously bad. I'll send word to family & friends in Minnesota too. Disgusting the way some politicians use bargaining power w respect to things like education, well being, etc. 7y
