pickOOh what a twisted web this was to read. I'm definitely becoming a fan of the author. I think her first might be my favourite so far but this was still good. Its quite a simple plot at heart but filled with clever twists and secrets to keep you hooked. The ending was so good and I loved how it all came together. I figured out some bits but not all and was impressed by the end. #Netgalley 4*

pickAugust 13, 2025 This book was not really interesting in the beginning therefore I would find myself stopping now and then. But once I got right before halfway, the story took a turn and I found myself flipping faster. Mackenzie Casper finds out that a woman named Tonya was pretending to be Elizabeth Casper and got jealous of Elizabeth so she stole her husband Ben. Ben played along with it and Elizabeth was given sedatives that damaged her brain.

July 28, 2025 Started the book today. Seems pretty sad. Haven't gotten into it too much other than mostly reading about how Mackenzie, Elizabeth Casper's daughter tried to begin writing as her hobby and then her mom distanced herself. Elizabeth Casper went by E.V. Renge and her book was titled Lies, Lies, and Revenge. Her moms' death was not an accident according to her grandma and dad. What happened to Elizabeth then?

pickWow this was such a good read. It had me hooked from the very beginning. Its a fairly quick read as well. The story is mostly told by Mackensie but we do get odd chapters by other characters to add a little more depth and context. This is full of so many clever twist, though I guessed at couple. The ending was so good and brought everything together brilliantly. I loved the very final twist, that was so genius and unexpected. #Netgalley 4*
