Just as delightful as I expected. The book has a gorgeous layout, wonderful illustrations, and a fabulous main character in Warren the 13th. Now, at the ripe old age of 13, Warren is the proprietor of his family‘s moving hotel which is, in fact, moving around the countryside providing guests with everything they need. And then trouble strikes...Adventure, witches, snake oil salesmen, sap-squatches, danger and more abound in this wonderful book.

Going with a fun, quirky book for my next weekend read—it‘s gray & rainy & not at all warm & Warren is the perfect remedy. Written by Tania del Rio, it‘s illustrated & designed by Will Staehle who also created the character. Staehle is one of my all time favorite cook cover artists & designers & his work on this character & these books is equally brilliant. This is a great middle grade series & I‘m excited to go adventuring with Warren again!

Yesterday‘s #bookmail. Excited to read the tagged book ahead of the release of the third book in the series in a March. Love this character created by Will Staehle who himself is better known as an artist & book cover designer (most of V.E.Schwab‘s books, Autonomous, & many more). Also, the sequel to a Trail of a Lightning, the fourth book in Yang‘s Tensorate series, & a book by an author participating in a YA festival here in Chicago in April.

I really adore the Warren the 13th books. They are full of odd characters, adventure, & Warren who wants to help others. I also think they are gorgeous with the artwork & the layouts. I so hope there is a third book!

This is the second Warren the 13th book, just as engaging and interesting as the first. The illustrations and the writing both keep the reader engaged with clues to uncover and codes to decipher. Warren will dare to trek through the Malwoods to save his beloved hotel and his friends and it's easy to root for him as he puzzles his way through all the dangers he encounters.

I can barely wait to read this with my son over summer. Bonding over code-breaking! ♡

This second Warren book is just as, if not more, enjoyable as the first! More awesome illustration and storytelling. Usually, I don't go for this type of book but mixing it up has proven to be a good thing in this case!
