This was really good for such a short story. My only issue: the second twist at the end was too much. It went too far and left me feeling confused—mostly confused as to why she didn't stop at the first twist.
Freida is the queen of twisty endings. This novella is part of the Alibis Collection on Amazon. Talia finds herself on death row, 2 weeks from execution. I sped through this as I had to know what would happen!! A perfect little morsel of a thriller. And one that makes you think. 5⭐️

Death Row was recently featured in the monthly Amazon First Reads program. While I often find myself feeling unsatisfied with extremely short stories, this 74-page masterpiece still managed to captivate me with its incredible suspenseful elements. This might be one of my favorite twisty endings from Freida.

First off, Talia is not a nice person. Second, the ending was confusing. I know what we are supposed to think, but the way it is written is ambiguous. This was a fast read but not that great.
Even though this was short and I have no idea what to make of the ending, I still really enjoyed it from the first page. McFadden has yet to disappoint me.
