Stalking the Nightmare
Stalking the Nightmare | Harlan Ellison
2 posts | 4 read | 1 to read
Pure, hundred?proof distillation of Ellison. A righteous verbal high. Here you will find twenty of his very best stories and essays, including the four?part Scenes from the Real World, an anecdotal history of the doomed TV series, The Starlost, that he created for NBC; Tales from the Mountains of Madness; and his hilariously brutal reportage on the three most important things in life, sex, violence, and labor relations. With an absolutely killer foreword by Stephen King.

For some reason, a lot of old science fiction has #uglycovers. 😁

Texreader Yes you are right about these and old science fiction covers! 8y
SusanInTiburon I have noticed that. 8y
Bette @Texreader @SusaninTiburon I didn't realize until after I posted this, but I think his face is on both covers. I almost covered him with the top book, and I think he's wearing horns on the Orange one. Sadly the author is actually starring in his ugly covers. 😐 8y
SidWilliams I have a paperback of Oblivion that incorporates some of that art on a dark blue background. 6y
