Dieses Buch wurdigt die zahlreichen Errungenschaften von Schweizerinnen, beleuchtet ihre Schicksale und zeigt ihre Starken auf. Kurze Biografien geben einen Einblick in das Leben von funfzig zeitgenossischen und historischen Frauen, die inspirieren und faszinieren. Jede Biografie wird von der Schweizer Illustratorin Michelle Lachausse farbig bebildert: Spioninnen, Aktivistinnen, Unternehmerinnen, Entertainerinnen, Politikerinnen, Athletinnen, Hebammen, Mutter ... Schweizerinnen strotzen vor Mut, Kreativitat und Tapferkeit. Das Land ist klein, aber an Heldinnen mangelt es nicht!

And yes, all those women in this book are amazing. They stood up for their rights, for others, their dreams. They were laughed at, ignored, hurt. But they never gave up. Some are long gone, some are still alive. Some I knew, most of them were new to me. But I'm impressed and amazed by them all.
