This is the 2nd book in the series. You can potentially read it‘s on its own but they do reference characters and situations from the 1st book. I really like this mystery series. I don‘t read much mystery anymore but some books I can still do.

SarahBookInterrupted I liked the first book too and got it for my mother as a gift. Just placed a hold for the second at my library. Can‘t wait! 2h

A just ok follow up that had a lot of moments of repetition, some from book 1. Not terrible, and does answer questions left hanging in book 1, but I doubt I‘ll continue more if this has future books. 3⭐️

How to Seal Your Own Fate (Castle Knoll Files 2), by Kristen Perrin (2025)
⭐️⭐️💫

Premise: A fortune teller‘s words once again set murderous events in motion, and old journals once again hold all the clues.

Review: This was such a huge disappointment for me. The first book in this series was great, but this just repeated the premise from the first, even involving the same cast of characters and inciting incident, cont.

Mattsbookaday and they were barely interesting enough to sustain one good book, let alone two. This also stretched the limits of credulity past the breaking point: at one point, the main character literally causes an accident that almost kills someone while fleeing arrest, with zero consequences. What a mess. 3mo

This was a fun book. Like its predecessor, it has Annie dealing with and trying to solve events that happened in her great aunt‘s early life. There was a lovely breeze today, making my walk lovely. You can‘t see it well, but the 2nd row left is some Pride chalk art in the park. #audiowalk
