This was such a sweet, heartwarming and wonderful story on grief and relationships…I just loved it!!😍
Once again, this author has wowed me with a wonderful romantic comedy that has humour, heart and a little spice. While it is predictable (it is a rom com after all), except for an adorable eight-year-old, it doesn't resort to the usual gimmicks you often see in the genre. Instead, this story about loss and grief and learning to live again has a wonderful depth, realistic characters and life lessons. Thanks to NetGalley for the digital ARC. 4.5/5
This was a lovely friends to lovers HEA. It was a super quick and easy read because it is mostly conversation. I‘m often dropping the tips of stars on romance because I‘m judgey when it comes to tropes. But I might have to add shiny tips here because the author so seamlessly avoided the miscommunication trope.
Sometimes, a book finds you. That‘s the magic they possess. The perfect book for you can arrive at just the right moment, wrapping around your heart and holding space for the emotions you carry that can somehow weigh heavy and need a place to rest. This is one of those books.
This is my second Bastone read and she‘s instantly become an automatic-buy-author for me!
This lovely novel examining grief, love, and finding one's purpose is so good! Memorable, funny, and heartbreakingly sad in others, Bastone's latest doesn't disappoint. It feels authentic and effortless and doesn't shy away from real problems; you can't help but keep reading to see what happens next. Releasing on March 4, you'll want to pick this one up if you like layered romance that goes a little deeper and makes you reach for the tissues.
