I'm really enjoying this book! I love the way each chapter jumps between "then" and "now", as the title suggests. The love story is so tender. I hope everything goes well for Chris. I want the happy ending for him!!

Read most of this on the plane to Singapore. Here for a short break. Just finished this morning. I enjoyed it. The paths our lives can take us. Each chapter alternates between the past and present. Clever and easy to follow.

The story of a boys' school love affair and it's continuing effects on the life of one of the parties. It's quite a melancholy book, but I enjoyed it.

The "Then" in question being school days, this seems like a good choice for #SchoolsOut. I've been meaning to read it for years, but somehow I've never got around to it. I won't put it back on the shelf and maybe I'll pick it up yo read soon. #MarchIntoThe70s

This was one of the best gay novels I read in the 1990s, yet I remember very little about it. Recently for some reason I've been thinking about it a lot, mostly wondering what the heck it was all about! :-). So I bought a second copy – the first one's in a box somewhere in Canada – and I'm looking forward to giving it another go!
