I‘ve listened to this and now I‘d like to read the book so on to the Amazon Book Wishlist it goes!
There‘s a change in thinking here so I‘d like to read and annotate! Some things I do … some I don‘t because I didn‘t realize they were important. I‘m intrigued!
Guess I‘m going to try 90 minutes of exercise a week.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
I agree with a lot of his points, the information is readable and motivating, and connects many aspects of improving your healthspan. It‘s heavy on the author‘s personal experiences and anecdotes, which started to get off putting. Spoiler alert: exercise- cardio, strength, stability is the best strategy of staving off effects of aging.
Full of info that motivated me to take control of my health. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Though it‘s a 17 hour long audiobook, this nonfiction book on longevity and how to live optimally was a quick read! The book covers the “four horsemen”, the diseases (and related issues) which are most responsible for death: 1. Heart disease 2. Cancer 3. Diabetes 4. Dementia/Alzheimer‘s. Atria goes into ways “Medicine 3.0” can help cure these, basically prevention and early detection for all. Then the book goes into how to live longer: exercise.
After watching his series with Chris Hemsworth, I become totally interested in Attia‘s ideas about longevity. He has tons of podcasts but I knew I had to read his just released book. He explains these very scientific things in such a digestible way and reading this is making me want to give up all sugar and junk food and just go out an exercise. (Let‘s see how long that feeling lasts.) He focuses on how to improve your life now for a better future
