This is one of, if not the most, well-deserved happily ever afters that I have ever read. I have read two of Camille‘s other books so it was not a surprise to see her tackling difficult life circumstances. Amazon first reads- not impressed. The MC was whiney and wouldn‘t take charge of her life. Far more trauma and triggers than expected as I thought I was getting a lighter romance.

In an unfortunate outburst, Aly loses her job as editor-in-chief. She heads to the lake cabin left her by her recently deceased brother, only to find out he also willed 1/2 of it to his best friend, Wyatt. Aly uses the time to heal and come to terms with herself while trying to deal with Wyatt. A great read with a satisfying ending. Triggers: childhood abuse and loss of a sibling.

This was my Amazon First Reads pick this month. I was kind of disappointed in the selection this month. This isn‘t my comfort zone genre but it‘s set on the shore of Lake Michigan, the best of the Great Lakes 😊
