My September favorite. #12BooksOf2022 @Andrew65
Charming beach town/road trip story that made me miss my own grandmother.

When Jenna's grandmother is determined to drive back to the family home alone, Jenna surprisingly volunteers to take her. On the trip, Jenna learns more about her family and herself. This was wonderfully written and I loved it. The first book finished for the #SuperSeptember Readathon (it's been a busy week). @Andrew65
Oh I love Evelyn, she‘s the quirky crazy old lady I hope to be when I‘m old. I enjoyed hearing about 1950s Evelyn and present day Jenna. Their character development was fantastic. This was a great deep dive into a family, their history, and their story. Book #58 in 2022

Lovely generational story. Excellent narration.

I wasn't expecting to love this book so much, but here I am, adoring another perfect Evelyn! The narration was fantastic, the dual timelines felt natural, and it a delightful read with nothing explicit. It made me want to move to a cabin in Hereford, Massachusetts with them!
Another excellent reading experience from AuthenticBooks. The candle smells Amazing.

Fun summer read! Ok, I might just be a sucker for books that feature wise, irreverent older women characters. This Amazon First Read toggles between a thirty something who‘s lost confidence as she navigates a divorce and her fierce, funny grandmother who shares stories of her past as they take a road trip. Evelyn reminded me of my grandma Robbie who‘s also quite the character.
