so-soI found this book to be just “ok”. Many parts were very repetitive. The storyline seemed flat to me. There were no real surprises. I‘ve read many similar stories in the past. That being said, I kept reading and did finish the book. It‘s the first one I‘ve read by this author. Maybe I‘ll try another by her to see if I like it better. All in all, it was a fairly quick read and wasn‘t at all horrible.
pickThis started slow too, but as it picked up the pace, it started racing and became a page turner. Ali had a rough past and spent her early adulthood as a wanderer. Something about Palmetto Island called to her so she decided to put down roots and bought a home. But crazy things have happened and her life is in danger.

Didn't expect the ending, which was good, but something about the pace the story unfolded. Slowwww, then all at once everything happened.
