Tsarina's Daughter
Tsarina's Daughter | Ellen Alpsten
4 posts | 3 read | 3 to read
Born into the House of Romanov to the all-powerful Peter the Great and Catherine I, beautiful Tsarevna Elizabeth is the envy of the Russian empire. Insulated by luxury and free from the burden of statecraft with her younger brother in line to take the throne after Tsar Peter, Elizabeth is seemingly born to pursue her passions. However, following a string of untimely deaths, including her father who dies without naming his successor, Elizabeth's idyllic world on the sprawling royal estate is shaken. By her twenties she is penniless and powerless, and under threat from Peter's would-be heirs. Elizabeth must decide whether she is willing to take up her role as Russia's ruler, even if pursuing the throne requires the greatest sacrifice of them all.

In March, I enjoyed The Tsarinia's Daughter by Ellen Alpsten and also Blackout by Simon Scarrow. Both books were 5 ⭐ for me.

Although I didn‘t read the first book Tsarina I found this to be a solid historical novel. Rich in historical details and filled with actual historic figures I found this to be a very good read. #readingchallenge2022

Sequel to Tsarina. This was just as Fabolous. It looks at Elizabeth Petrovna Romanov of Russia and her life from Peter the Great's death thru Ivan VI's reign. Takes me a while to read a Historical Fiction, bc I stop, look up, and read about other people I come across in the book, when I know nothing about them. I am such a nerd 🤓.

Book comes out March 15, 2022

CoverToCoverGirl I always have to check things out too, it enhances the reading experience. History is my thing, I usually know the players but not all the unique details. I‘m just now reading and loving the 2y
