On the surface this is a trash story with even trashier characters, I mean seriously, are the rich really that bored…but something about its air of WTF-is-going-on-here drew me right in and kept me listening. In retrospect, it was all so surreal…I really don‘t quite know what I think about it.

I was hooked on this twisted story at first, but my interest fizzled as it went on. Some parts were repetitive as the same scenes were told from two different points of view. The characterization fell flat - what made these characters act this way? Lyla in particular seemed all over the place. It was entertaining at times and the audiobook narration was great! 🎧

This story was BONKERS! All of the characters were horrible and depraved and selfish to a new degree and once I decided to just go along for the ride I ended up enjoying it. It‘s an extreme look at the heights of wealth and privilege vs. the lows of poverty and homelessness. Just nuts! I can‘t say I liked the ending but overall was quite entertaining! 🌟🌟🌟

This book is full of black humor. Lyla and Graham are married and live in a huge house in the hills of Los Angeles. Graham‘s mother lives next door. Mother and son are filthy rich and bored,especially Graham. To ease their boredom, they like to manipulate and ruin the lives of others. It‘s Lyla‘s turn to play this game, but does she have the nerve to follow through? Four stars.

A twisted and dark story about a wealthy couple that play a game where they take turns destroying the lives of the tenants that live below them. This was messed up and wildly entertaining.

What the fu&k?! The fu$k?! This is some crazy sh!t! What the hell did I just read? Best book ever! This was my interior dialogue in a nutshell as I was reading this bat sh!t crazy book. Besides all of the sheer insanity there is so much to like about this novel like the author‘s strong social commentary about the homeless epidemic here in Los Angeles being a prime example. It‘s so relevant. God, I hope this is made into a movie! 😆

I really loved this book. Its definitely a guilty pleasure novel. The protagonist is a very wealthy woman who has to abide by her husband strange fetish. Its not sexual though. Its a thriller and it kept me guessing. I loved the dark humor. It was witty and quick. The words vapid and shallow came to mind several times. It seems though that the author was making some deeper points about the class system but it was too fun to be anything serious.

This book has me laughing and screaming all at the same time. 1 and 1/2 hour left and I'm clueless!

Excited to start this one on audiobook. So far so good, I like the narrator and this seems like it's just my type of guilty pleasure! Excited to find out what is going to happen!
