For those who don't know, Texas is a s**thole, full of intolerant assholes (in the government). If you look at this list, you will see a very obvious theme, since all the books deal with race, racism, Black Lives Matter, gender equality, women's rights and LGBTQ characters. Just another attempt by Gov. Abbott and his goons to force their alt right, white nationalist agenda down the throats of fellow Texans.

rwmg Since the legislature is asking for information on other books which cause readers “any other form of psychological distress because of their race or sex“, perhaps somebody in Texas should overwhelm them with examples of sexist and racist books. (edited) 2y
Bookishlie I‘ve never understood book bans. If they are terrible no one reads them anyway and if they trigger you don‘t read them. Just dumb. 2y
