pickJuliet Blackwell‘s Lily Ivory series is one of my favorites for it‘s quirky and endearing cast of characters, gorgeous setting in San Francisco, and well-plotted mysteries. This one involves mermaids! If you haven‘t tried this series yet, #Witchtober is as good a time as any!
pickI‘ve been listening to this at night but decided to finish it up on my walk this evening. I was afraid I wouldn‘t get to walk because it‘s been raining most of the day, but it stopped. This wasn‘t my favorite book in the series, and it ended abruptly and anticlimactically with some things left unanswered. I still liked it though, and I still love Xe Sands as the narrator. #audiowalk

so-soBook 11 of the Wishcraft Mystery series was slow. The murder mystery was almost pointless and seemed to be included just as a way to drop a lot of facts about Treasure Island. The ending was totally anti-climatic. I‘m not really sure what the point of this book was. It felt like a filler. This series has gotten rather uneven the last few books.
