I must say I kind of fell for “What you wantâ€.

But all in all, I can‘t take all those plays too serious. I think I am too factual and rational to do so. 🤷ğŸ½â€â™€ï¸

But this compilation is really great. 😃 The summaries are easy to follow but also detailed. And I was very impressed by the language used. 😠It‘s so Shakespearean but yet understandable.

“The Tempest†was the 8th of the 10 presented plays.
At first I thought: “Oh, cool, magical realism!†but oh myâ€¼ï¸ This one was barely able to hold my interest. 🥱

On the pro side: My reading-clock shows 8:32 hours. Together with my 1:36 hours from yesterday morning this makes 10:08 hours in total. And still counting. 💙

Cool, I never thought I‘d really clock in > 10 hours of (audio-)reading / “audio library-ing†in this weekend.

Continued my audiobook about 10 famous dramas and comedies by Shakespeare in a nutshell:

• Much ado about Nothing
• The Taming of the Shrew (?? â€Der Widerspenstigen Zähmung“)

I think, I like his comedies better. They suit his patterns and style of narration better. And yeah, I know, Elizabethan age and so on, but he is no big feminist (“The Taming of the Shrewâ€), is heâ“?

I so far listened to 3 more of Shakespeare‘s tragedies.

• Othello
• Romeo and Juliet
• King Lear

The last one was the only one I didn‘t know nothing but the title of. Maybe that‘s why I liked it. Or maybe I only could relate to a protagonist with dementia.

But in general: What‘s wrong with Shakespeareâ‰ï¸ Envy, grudge and violence everywhere. Together with fair maidens and painting everything black and white.

Seems, when it comes to games and readathons @RamsFan1963 and I are having compatible/complementary biorhythms – most of the time it‘s always him where I first spot those things in the morning.

I‘d love to reach double-digit reading hours during this #AnyWayYou-readathon.

Furthermore I want to finish

Still, the tagged book is not what I am listening to as audiobook. 10 shortly presented dramas and comedies by Shakespeare.

Next one is Macbeth. It‘s only a bit less bloody than Hamlet but has more mystery and insanity in it.

So far, Shakespeare‘s plays remind me of fairytales for grown-ups. What is he doingâ“Trying to hammer the difference between good and bad into his audience‘s headsâ“

I‘m sure the tagged book is not mine. My current audiobook deals with 10 of Shakespeare‘s dramas and comedies in a nutshell. I am having this on my library‘s wish list for quite a long time but never dared to start it because I feared I would be bored.

So far, I was not. I just finished the first one: Hamlet.

What do I take from itâ“People liked it bloody and insane back then. A bit excessive, William, isn‘t itâ“

A “meh†for me.
