On an island cursed by eternal winter, Sylvi & her best friend scrape by managing an inn & hauling cargo across the dangerous, icy terrain. Then Sylvi‘s friend runs off & joins some rebels. If Sylvi is going to get her back, she‘ll have to take a dangerous, nearly impossible job for someone who she doesn‘t trust even as he tells her he can reunite them. Interesting world, entertaining YA story. Sequel is out in January.

Haven't had the best luck in August so far. I got half way through but couldn't spend anymore time on it. The book describes itself as a blend of Mad Max and Frozen😂, it just wasn't a good fit for me.

I love the premise of this story. The whole trucker/dystopian vibe is not something usually done and it was just amazing here. The author built a gritty but magical world that wasn‘t forgiving and full of people that learned to survive.

I find this cover looks more YA than MG, but I just got a copy yesterday from the publisher so i guess I'll have to read it to find out.
