Hello Litsy Friends! Let me tell you the 8 weeks of reasons I have missed you all. I finally finished up a course on Darwin and while it was indeed very interesting and I‘ll never see the world the same way again, it‘s been grueling. Between teaching, being a student, and a wife & mother with family home 24/7 I have had no meaningful recreational reading time. I have missed all the book posts!

Here is where my fun dollars went - my new hobby.

LiteraryinLawrence Wow, you‘ve been busy! Canning sounds like a great new hobby to discover! 4y
TrishB Hi 👋 good to see you back! 4y
SamAnne I love audio book canning! 4y

Tamra @SamAnne what do you like to can? Since I love pickles, I‘m going to start with Dilly Beans. 😋 4y
Tamra @TrishB 👋🏾 Nice to “see” you again! 4y
Tamra @LiteraryinLititz I hope so! It will be an adventure anyway. 4y
SamAnne @Tamra Dilly beans are my faves!!! And dill pickles. I also really love sweet pickled pears. Right now I'm canning rhubarb--concentrate for drinks, the Victoria sauce out of the Ball book. And there are great salsas in the Ball book. Highly recommend the one with the dried chipotle peppers in it. My go to. 4y
Scochrane26 I‘ve been learning to can the last couple of years. Have only done pickles & helped my mom with tomato juice. 4y
Tamra @SamAnne can I use commercial can tomatoes to make my own salsa to process? The books aren‘t clear about that. I love chipotle peppers! (edited) 4y
Tamra @Scochrane26 yay! It seems like one of those “flow state” activities. 4y
