Single White Female in Hanoi | 
pickThe story of an Australian woman's year in Hanoi teaching English and perving on Vietnamese men. There was a lot to enjoy in the book, but quite a lot of it made me uncomfortable too. Towards the end she complains of wealthy expats whose conversation is largely gossip about other expats and "if mentioned at all, the locals feature like pets". That is sort of how I felt about the book. A pick with reservations. #booked2020 #setinindiasouthernasia
