Meh

so-so

A fun follow up, but slightly more predictable than the first. The world-building was much better & the writing was ✨. Somin was a great heroine — a good mixture of fierce & vulnerable that made her really relatable to me. Her love interest, though, seemed really typical/expected, which in turn made the romance kind of boring. & in the case of this book, that was like...60% of the plot. ★★★☆☆.

The second book in this fantastic YA fantasy duology came out today! I love the covers for both of these so much! Aren't they gorgeous? 😍 I really like that these books focus on Korean folklore, since you don't see that very often! 💕📚
