Not to worry, a book on anxiety is finally here! A clever antidote to everyday angst, this illustrated book captures universal truths and comforting revelations about being human. This was a good find in the graphic novel section of my local library. I felt seen in a lot of the imagery and the simple text accompanying the illustrations. This reminded me of a zine but in hardback form. Not much else to say about it- it was short and concise, the kind of thing I wouldn‘t mind picking up when I need to feel like I‘m not alone.

5/5. It's simply wonderful. The words and illustrations communicate so clearly how debilitating anxiety can be for a person in their day to day lives. The artwork is lovely and the book's structure is satisfying. It offers a message of hope as well.

Keeping in mind the limits of carry-on luggage, I always try for restraint at the Vancouver Writers Fest. Last year, I bought notebooks and pens as well as books. Catherine Lepage's cartoons about coping with mental illness had not yet been released in English (see Fines tranches d'angoisse in the photo). #augustphotochallenge #stationeryplusbooks

shawnmooney Omg, just checked the list of writers: https://www.writersfest.bc.ca/authors. Jealous! For $5,000, would you get me signed copies from each and every one of them? :-). Have a great time!! 8y
Louise That "Frayed Opus..." title is intriguing! 8y
