My surfing book collection. I love surfers because they commune with nature while doing incredible things in the ocean. I only SUP (and only once in the ocean), but next life, I'm coming back as a kickass surfer🐬

Mairi Check out an awesome writer called Tom Anderson who's written a few travelogues about travelling with the waves. My husband rates them highly. 🏄🏻🏄🏻🏄🏻 8y
brendanmleonard Ahaha, I keep telling myself "this is the year I learn to surf." I'm 32. 8y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Mairi that's so funny, because the guy who taught me to SUP on the ocean is named Tom Anderson...but different guy!! Ok, I will check him out, he's def familiar. I love Gerry Lopez and a lot of the old timer Hawai'ian surfers...I love old footage of Eddie Aikau, and my fave dude of all time is Duke 8y

JanuarieTimewalker13 @brendanmleonard Do it!!! You will not be sorry...pick up a couple of surf DVDs like Step Into Liquid to get you stoked! 8y
Mairi @JanuarieTimewalker13 probably not the same guy! This is a different vibe to the old classic dudes, British Surfer. Tho his book Chasing Dean is about following the waves that come with a hurricane so slightly bonkers in a Mavericks way! 8y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Mairi Mavericks!! Something hauntingly beautiful about that place!! Ok, thanks for recommendation! 8y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Mairi @brendanmleonard I completely forgot about Riding Giants DVD...that was great!!! Just came back to me when I was reading about Buzzy Trent🏄 8y
