Enjoyed this book a lot, its not too heavily directed toward children as it contains some heavy themes and scenes so it's still appealing to the adult market definitely!

This sweetie snuggled with me while I finished my book this afternoon. She‘s a good reading companion. The book was very good, a little sad, but very good. It wasn‘t exactly what I was hoping for but it was very good. Loki is a very fun Marvel character and this just adds to his depth. #marvel #loki #thor #thorandloki

I made Futurama (Fry and Leela) bookmarks out of perler beads and paper clips yesterday! Leela marks my current page, the heart marks my reading session goal, and fry marks my daily reading goal!

After DNFing this on my Kindle, I‘ve decided to give this book another try, via print version! I‘m still trying to solve the great debate over which 📖 style is easier for me to read; physical or digital. I have severe ADHD, and it makes reading for pleasure very difficult.

Koffeejazzandbooks I‘ve had this same issue of trying to figure out if the kindle or physical books are better for me, it feels like if I read several books on my kindle my concentration goes completely flat so recently I‘ve been alternating a lot which as been pretty helpful. 4y
Book-Raptor @Koffeejazzandbooks Glad to know that I‘m not alone 🥰 I‘ve been reading so very little this year 😳😱 I‘m debating switching back to physical books, despite my spouses protesting ;) My past two reading-sprints have shown that I read faster with a physical book! 4y
Koffeejazzandbooks @Book-Raptor kindles books are way cheaper and they don‘t take up so much space. I read from a kindle tablet for a long time before I started having issues with concentrating so I switched to an ereader, but even with that I‘m not as absorbed in it like a physical book. 4y
Book-Raptor @Koffeejazzandbooks Me too! I I‘ve compared BookOutlet and ThriftBook prices to kindle, and you “save” a bit...before they hit you with the shipping and handling 😂 But I‘ve gotten to the point with my ADHD that I just can‘t handle a ebook anymore. It‘s so hard to read more than two or three pages 😳 I just can‘t stay focused or engrossed in the story! 4y

If nothing else, you can tell Loki is a theater kid. The story is unknown if it‘s placemnt in the MCU mostly, till the end you find the summer solstice is when Thor will be titled king. This is ALL about Loki being bad and kinda good (if that), but all chaotic. Amora is a very interesting new side character. Theo stole the story for me. That poor boy. Book seems a bit longer then need be; plot barely seems to survive it. Can you change your fate?

Well played. It‘s interesting to understand Theo being labeled as a criminal because he‘s gay. Then how that‘s affected his whole life afterwards. To here we are with Loki talking to him better about it.

Half way. I love how Loki is being portrayed - he‘s still a villain, no hiding that. He‘s the antagonist and protagonist. The plot is so oddly twisted, so it‘s a bit weird to follow. There seems to be a hidden plot underneath it all - can‘t tell if it‘s going to be a bigger part or not yet.

“We picked an acronym and worked backwards.” Theo muttered. [Loki] “Perhaps you can find something more accurate. You could call yourselves the Society where Hospitality is Ignored Totally. Or, for short-“

Once, as a boy, Loki has used his magic to extinguish all the lights in the palace simultaneously. He was baffled when Odin has not been delighted and proud as he expected, but rather so enraged Loki had feared his father might strike him. Instead, Loki was sent to his chambers to sit in isolation, before his mother finally came and explained that it would be best if he did not use the magic he could feel vibrating through his bones

Dark and complex, this novel went way beyond my expectations. It does something the typical YA antihero novel does not do (in my opinion)...offer everything from the villain's point of view, while always keeping him the villain. Loki is our protagonist, but also our antagonist. He is full of terrible choices, but is he fated to make them? Don't go looking for any happy endings here. Excellent job, Mackenzi Lee. Bonus: Victorian London.

Evening reading. My 11yo thought this one was boring, but I really like it so far. 🤷‍♀️
