Book haul! #lifeinwidowland #grief

Seeking recommendations! Do you know any good books about grief? 😬 My friend (75)‘s husband has died - they did everything together & she‘s feeling lost. She‘s looking for a non-fiction that will reassure her that it gets better. She read The Year of Magical Thinking but found it too magical. I thought this sounded good. She loved Our Souls At Night (fiction-wise). Thank you in advance, Littens! 🙏🏼

More cheesecake (it‘s seriously unreal) and ginger tea with honey and this book!

Bookstore browsing. I bought Joyce Carol Oates‘ memoir about her husband who was brought to the hospital for pneumonia and ended up dying one week later. I have such dark taste haha 🤷🏼♀️. Such a great shop of used books!
There is an hour, a minute - you will remember it forever - when you know instinctively on the basis of the most inconsequential evidence, that something is wrong. You don't know - can't know - that it is the first of a series of "wrongful" events that will culminate in the utter devastation of your life as you have known it.
