In the remote Rocky Mountains, lives depend on the Search & Rescue brotherhood. But in a place this far off the map, trust is hard to come by and secrets can be murder... George Holloway has spent his life alone, exploring the treacherous beauty of the Colorado Rockies. He's the best survival expert Search and Rescue has, which makes him the obvious choice to lead Ellie Price through deadly terrain to find her missing father. There's just one problem-Ellie's everything George isn't. She's a city girl, charming, gregarious, delicate, small. And when she looks up at him with those big, dark eyes, he swears he would tear the world apart to keep her safe. With a killer on the loose, he may have no choice. Ellie's determined to find her father no matter the cost. But as she and her gorgeous mountain of a guide fight their way through an unforgiving wilderness, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a dangerous man in search of revenge. And they are now his prey... I only checked this book out because the cover model reminded me of an actor I like so...

It wasn‘t bad but it was just too slow for me. I also found both main characters to be a little boring. Probably more me than the book to be fair.

Is my favorite hero a quiet virgin with lots of muscles and an ability to survive the great outdoors? Yes, in a book only though, because I‘m an inside person. But just like Ellie in this book, I might make an exception for George who is everything. He never talks, he takes care of things, follows Ellies lead in bed and they help save each other from danger. This series just gets better with each book.

I'm on a roll with this series haha. Unlike the other books, the main female character is not a super outdoorsy capable person. But she is fearless and willing to try anything. She needs to find her dad who is supposed to be in a cabin and the only way to get there is hiking. And there are bad guys after him too. She hires George, the strong & silent type, to get her there. Lots of things happen and it's another great story by this author

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really enjoyed Goerge and Ellie's story. It was a unique story and fun to read. I was worried I wasn't going to love George, much like I didn't love Rory in book two, but that wasn't the case. Their story had more to do with the original cliffhanger than book two. And in turn, ended on a HUGE cliffhanger. One I saw coming but hoped would happen. I can't wait for the fourth and final book.

Oh snap. The ending, though.
