“A gripping thriller about a man‘s quest for the daughter no one else believes is still alive, from the acclaimed author of The Chalk Man and The Hiding Place.”
“Q: Why are you called the Other People?
A: We are people just like you. People to whom terrible things have happened. We‘ve found solace not in forgiveness or forgetting. But in helping each other find justice.”

When Gabe is driving home he briefly sees a girl in a car window who he believes is his daughter. He calls home to check on his family, only to discover that there has been a tragedy. Years later he travels the highways, looking for any sign of the mysterious vehicle. This is my third Tudor, & definitely my favorite. Despite a paranormal element, the twists are handled well & felt natural to the story, similar to Barclay & Swanson.

CBee Sounds right up my alley!! 3y
vivastory @CBee Hope you like it. I've heard great things about her newest too. 3y
CBee @vivastory I‘ve not read anything by her yet, which is surprising since I love mysteries/thrillers. 3y

Twainy This one is not available through my library but 3 others are. My hold list is full so I could only take one out on loan ... The Hiding Place. Thanks 👍🏼 3y
vivastory @Twainy I personally didn't care for The Hiding Place. I know others liked it though, so you might. But both this one & Chalk Man were solid reads IMO 3y
Hooked_on_books Hmmmm…that sounds really good! 3y
vivastory @Hooked_on_books I can send it your way 👍 3y
RohitSawant Man, can't wait to read Tudor's work. The Chalk Man has been on my TBR for a long time along with her other books. 3y
Hooked_on_books I would love that! Oh, and if you didn‘t pick Outlawed for your botm box, I could send it to you and we can make a swap out of it! It‘s an ARC, FYI. 3y
vivastory @Hooked_on_books I *almost* picked that one & I picked it up at Target the other day but didn't buy it. Def interested in reading it! 3y
Hooked_on_books Done! I‘ll send it your way! Same address? Hopefully I‘ll get it out this week, but we‘re forecast to have biblical rain, so we‘ll see. 3y
vivastory @Hooked_on_books Same address. No rush at all! Are you at the same address? Will the rain be good or bad? 3y
Hooked_on_books Yup, same address for me. The rain will be fine where we are—we get 200+ inches per year, so even a lot in one day drains away. But some parts of the island will likely have flash flooding issues and sometimes it impacts flights, cargo and commercial. 3y
Hooked_on_books I was able to sneak over to the post office between drenchings, so your book is on the way! Estimated delivery on Friday. 📖✈️ 3y
vivastory @Hooked_on_books Thanks so much! I will send yours off tomorrow! Today was really busy at work 😬 3y

As you read, you will question: is this a story of plotting and planning, of vengeance, of coincidences, of divine intervention, of revenge, of guilt, or simply is it just an
I suggest you read this book. It is a well written novel with a finely structured plot. Importantly you will question your own reaction to what you learn about The Other People.

I‘ve just finished this - and it was so good! Gabe spends all of his time, driving up and down motorways searching for his daughter. He‘s adamant that she wasn‘t murdered along with her mother - he saw her in the back of a car driving away when she should have been dead in his home with her mother. Murdered by an apparent burglar. Oh this is a chilling thriller - well worth a read!

I can't even begin to describe how over today I am. Couch for the rest of the evening and hoping diving into something creepy will take some of the edge off.

ShyBookOwl Enjoy! 4y
TheLudicReader Curious to hear how you like this book. I‘ve read her first two and enjoyed them both...for the most part. 4y
FantasyChick @TheLudicReader So far, so good! Haven't gotten a chance to get as far in it as I'd like but I have high hopes. I really enjoyed her other two books so I'm hoping this is just as good. 4y
