The Lady of Pain. She rules the city of Sigil from behind a veil of perfect silence. Feared by mortal and gods alike, she flays her worshipers alive and casts her foes into inescapable labyrinths of despair. Only fools dare ask her to speak. And the Amnesian Hero has come with a question. When the god Poseidon tells a man with no memory how to recover his past, the unwitting warrior seeks out the Lady of Pain and finds himself banished to the Mazes. With the help of a beautiful - but dead - tiefling sorceress, a horned fiend with a dark disposition, and a deranged wind-priest who claims top be the center of the multiverse, he must discover the secret of the Lady's past - or confront a memory so horrifying it could tear him apart! The Silence is Broken.

Mehso-so

this was an entertaining but overall meh book that got surprisingly dark 🤔 on the positive side, it's pretty accessible even if you have little to no dnd knowledge (but you might need to google certain races' names). I think I prefer my #fantasy books with a little more substance.

since I'm trying to tackle some of the older books on my #tbr stack, I also started Pages of Pain, though I'm expecting it to be on the wayside as I work through my book club book. 📚Apparently this is a #dungeonsanddragons spin-off book from the 90's that takes place in the Plainscape which I'm not very familiar with given how off-the-rails my DM's campaign currently is 😅
