Welcome to Litsy!

I‘m reading this series at my sister‘s urging and thought I might quit after this second book buuut I now find myself curious about the next one.

The series is a high-concept high fantasy taking place in a sundered world warred over by two rival races of very powerful beings. Humans, elves, and dwarves live in the various different realms.

I am pretty reluctant when it comes to high fantasy but I find the world building fun if nothing else.

Visiting my sister this weekend and racing to finish this book I borrowed from her. Having a hard time deciding if I want to borrow the next one once I‘ve finished this. On one hand, I‘m really curious where the plot will go. On the other, I find some of the character work and world building a bit silly. We‘ll see how I feel when I get to the end.

Arguably the weakest of this Weis/Hickman series that I rather enjoyed when I was in middle school
