Complete Peanuts 1961 to 1962
Complete Peanuts 1961 to 1962 | Charles M Schulz
5 posts | 4 read | 2 to read
Snoopy, meanwhile, becomes a compulsive water sprinkler head stander, unhappily befriends a snowman or two, and endures a family crisis involving a little family of birds. (Woodstock the bird, and the music festival, for that matter is still a few years away.) And in one of the strangest continuities in the history of Peanuts, the (off-panel) Van Pelt parents acquire a tangerine-colored pool table and become obsessed with it! Plus baseball blowouts (including a rare team victory), Beethoven birthdays, plenty of dubious psychiatric help for a nickel, and an introduction by Diana Krall. "

Reposting because I didn't see the song title on the Spotify list (I think I got excited and posted too early):

My guiltiest pleasure every summer is to reread the ENTIRE Peanuts collection, from 1950-2000. Seems like no other song would fit (even though it debuted in “A Charlie Brown Christmas“) ... good ol' LINUS & LUCY! #peanutsforever

Great lunch time read! Many a chuckle was had at the expense of Charlie Brown and at the sharp tongue of Lucy van Pelt 😂 Here I come 1963!

I'm nearing the end of 1962! These started in 1950 and each volume comprises of two years worth of comics.

Lucy van Pelt is my fave! (here she is making Schroeder's life hell by insinuating that his idol, Beethoven is pretty weird for having his birthday on a different day of the week each year)
