Bad Girls Don't Die: As Dead as it Gets | Katie Alender
9 posts | 32 read | 10 to read
It's been three months since Alexis helplessly witnessed Lydia Small's violent death, and all she wants is for her life to return to normal. But normal people dont see decaying bodies haunting photographs. Normal people dont have to deal with regular intrusions from Lydias angry ghost, sometimes escalating to terrifying attacks. At first, it seems that Lydia wants revenge on Alexis alone. But a girl from school disappears one night, and Alexis spots one of Lydias signature yellow roses lying on the girls dresser the next day. Soon, it becomes clear that several of Alexiss friends are in danger, and that she's the only person who can save them. But as she tries to intervene, Alexis realizes that her enemy is a much more powerful ghost than she's ever faced before... and that its fate is tied to hers in ways she couldn't possibly imagine. Not even in her worst nightmares.

I think this was a good closure for this YA trilogy. Maybe predictable but the story has action, suspense, mystery. The ending was hopeful, supportive. I liked it. 3.5⭐️

The final book in the 'Bad Girls Don't Die' series. I LOVE that Alexis is now in deep with the supernatural ghosty stuff now, we get a even more creepier perspective since she is now seeing ghosts everywhere. It was a great mix of funny and eerie, and I enjoyed the plot because once again, I preferred the mystery and I had no clue what would happen next. I'm not sure how I feel about Alexis spending most of the book dealing with the spirits on her

abookdragonsretreat own as I would have liked to see other people help her out, but at the same time I think it added to her development of dealing with everything and moving on. Some parts of this book were once again pretty freaky, especially the description of the main villain ghost, it reminded me of the 'bent neck lady' from The Haunting Of Hill House, this book had some amazing world building. I enjoyed the ending. 3y
abookdragonsretreat and the plot twists, everything wrapped up nicely and it seems like Alexis might finally be okay. Overall, this series was such an eerie, mysterious and slightly romantic trilogy. 3y

Guys I‘m going to say it. This was def the best of the three. I hated the second one and the first one was just okay. But this one kept me nervous while reading it the entire time. The unhealthy relationship between Alexis and Jared; her friends disappearing; the laughing she kept hearing. I ended up reading about 85% of this within 24 hours. Definitely a good one to end on.

Bailedbailed

I had to bail on this book... At least for now. I couldn't get into it, no matter how hard I tried.

Having a problem getting into this storyline. Not sure if I've just read too many books about Alexis to really get interested or what... Does anyone else have the problem where they have to walk away from a series for a bit? Or is it just me..

Rudis I find it depends on the series & the characters. If things remain fresh or different, that keeps my interest. 8y
JohnG That has happened to me on occasion, especially if I'm binge- reading a series. Take a book or two break would be my recommendation. 8y

Last book in the trilogy! Hoping that it is just as good as the other two.
