This was fab. It's about a girl who was supposed to become an Olympic swimming champion-in-training, but after losing a tryout she finds herself stuck at normal school, without her best friend or any idea what to do with her life instead. It features friendship, family, boys and getting into trouble in swimming pools and aquarium tanks. It made me laugh out loud and really put me in the mood for a swim! #YA #UKYA #youngadult #litsyforandroid

yayeahyeah Oh yay! This is one of the funniest I've read for ages; so glad you enjoyed! 8y

#preview reading for Sept. This is LOL poignant stuff. Lou's life has gone the way of her swimming hopes - down the gurgler. In an attempt to make it better, she starts training a team of boys who want to get on Britain's Hidden Talent through a synchronised swimming routine. Hilarious so far.

READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW! It was SO funny; it's been a long time since a YA book made me laugh this much. Reminiscent of the late great Louise Rennison's Georgia Nicholson books but with less sarcasm towards parents. Funny, smart, and I want Lou as a best friend! 5⭐️

I originally abandoned this for two weeks after only 50 pages mid-reading slump, but decided to see if it was worth carrying on with this afternoon. I ended up reading the rest in one big gulp! Funny and heartwarming - proper UKYA.
