This is going to hurt! In a world where costumed heroes soar through the sky and masked vigilantes prowl the night, someone's got to make sure the "supes" don't get out of line. And someone will! Billy Butcher, Wee Hughie, Mother's Milk, The Frenchman, and The Female are The Boys: A CIA-backed team of very dangerous people, each one dedicated to the struggle against the most dangerous force on Earth - superpower! Some superheroes have to be watched. Some have to be controlled. And some of them - sometimes - need to be taken out of the picture. That's when you call in The Boys! Contains: The Boys Vol. 1: The Name of the Game & The Boys Volume 2: Get Some

A new look at supes with this graphic novel. I watch the show and of course that meant checking out what it‘s based on. They are a bit different but still have some of the same ideas. It‘s gritty, gory, and vulgar. I think the show is funnier with more diversity but both are definitely interesting.
Think I‘ll go for one of the free spaces soon #bookspinbingo

Wow what a wild ride. I‘ve seen the show so I had an inkling of what to expect but there‘s so much more perversion and insanity in the graphic novel. I have to say I really enjoyed it. Just know what you‘re getting into. Not for the faint of heart. #dogsoflitsy

I‘m loving the show and I love the premise of this, but I think the comic execution, at least in this first volume, isn‘t the best. My husband assures me it improves so I‘ll keep reading eventually.

JacqMac Good to know. I loving the show, too. 5y
