This was okay. I've figured out I'm not interested in political novels, something about them annoys me. I need a book psychiatrist to help me figure this out. 😆❤ #BookSpinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

The main premise of this book is whether or not the 16th Amendment of the Constitution legalized federal income tax. Was there a problem with the 1913 ratification of the law? N Korea has gotten info about this top secret and could bring the US to their knees. This book was not my favorite of the series. I will, however, continue with the series as I need to keep up with Cotton‘s adventures. I would recommend this book to those who like history.
This is the schedule for a Group Read I am leading on Librarything. This is book 10 in the Cotton Malone Series, and we have already read together the first 9 books. If anyone wants to read along let me know and we will comment about the book on Litsy.
I couldn't bring myself to finish it which is a surprise when it comes to Berry. I gave it 100 pages but the plot was convoluted and I couldn't tell who the main antagonist was or what he/they wanted. It started off similar to 14th Colony with disillusioned men who want revenge on their country for some slight...and this plot starter is getting old!
??♀️?? I've got 13 days until summer...13 and suddenly EVERY parent is concerned about their students' grade in my ELA8th grade class & wants me to accept every assignment over for a better mark. I really only want to read. The adventures Berry puts in his books are great but I'm getting a distinct feel of "insert plot here" with this one. I need to get out of teaching #imonyear6 #teacherproblems #wereallthere
This series is one of those series that are super fun to read, but I almost always immediately forget what the book was about after completing it. I remember the general historical mystery but rarely remember any details about the often flat characters. I love the history and the conspiracies and will keep reading but the characters and the writing itself are not why I'll keep coming back.
Almost done- this one is so.much.better than the previous Cotton Malone book. I have rolled my eyes far less.
Fairly weak Macguffin. Intrigue and action involving Malone was erratic and did little to advance the plot. Not the strongest entry in this series. But it kept me turning pages.
