Sadly this book wasn‘t exactly what I expected, one great thing about it. It gave an interesting character development for some of the liars, but the book didn‘t feel more like a filler in the bigger ark of the series. In my opinion, still going to read the 10th book.

TheAromaofBooks I haven't read this series yet, and it's gotten so long since I originally added it to my TBR!! 2y
melzen @TheAromaofBooks I would advice you to listen to the audiobooks, they make the books more interesting. The books are like soup operas 2y

Not the best of the pll series but I love the craziness that happens in Rosewood.

The Liars story jumps forward a year and there is a new secret that they share. A new A starts sending them messages again for more drama.

Reading the series was a bookish goal of mine for 2017. But after reaching the halfway point, I've discovered that I physically can't hold an interest in it anymore; the writing has gotten worse. The plot's so terribly diluted w/ overused tropes, total lack of character growth (the characters became more & more careless & unintelligent), & overall feels like a badly stretched thin series. I tried. But I just can't, & that's okay. Not recommended.

So far this book has described 3 different cultures in derogatory ways. Granted they were minor and only mentioned briefly in a way that means it won't be brought up again. But still, 3!! Like, seriously, do some fucking research. It's not that difficult and it will actually help the book be less shitty and offensive. Goodness...
