Remember two hours ago when I grabbed this book? It was such a delight I couldn't put it down. It's micro stories about the two years the author drove a cab in (mostly) Chicago--and for a guy who doesn't like to look backwards, this memoir of a dying job in a vastly changed Chicago took me down memory lane tonight. And the book is chock full of beautiful paintings and drawings done by the author. For Chicagoans who remember when.

You know that feeling when you've just finished the books you were reading and you've got a clean book slate, so you peruse your shelves to see what strikes your fancy and it ends up being something you totally hadn't planned to read soon but it just feels really damn right? Here we are.
