I can totally see & hear Fremlin‘s novels as 60‘s era films! Love her writing, especially the ability to depict how women are constantly juggling the many hats they wear. (Sometimes they fall off. 🫣)

Just when we thought it was safe to go outside. 😩 Super windy and snowing. This week we had a false summer, completely skipping spring. Oh those savage & cruel gods of April.

I am diving into Fremlin with a cup of hot tea. I‘ve read the first couple of pages and I keep wondering how have I missed her books all these years? So good!
