1st time 📖 by this author. Taken by a surprise since the story is kind of intriguing. No instalove between the mc but there‘s something building between them. Some voodoo stuff and 🧟‍♂️ stuff included too. The perp is a human. 😉 #annefrasier #romanticsuspense #suspense

RadicalReader @JaneJane85 can‘t help but immediately think of Stephen King‘s Pet Sematary “ Go On Lie Down! Play Dead, Be Dead! 6y
JaneJane85 @RadicalReader omg! You‘re right! And that book is an epic for me! It‘s so heartbreaking yet frightening at the same time..... might be picking that book up again soon...... 😉 6y
RadicalReader @JaneJane85 you definitely should and watch the film adaptations Pet Sematary and Pet Sematary Two 6y

I'm officially in love with this book. Much like the author, I'm a Midwesterner who enjoys haunting Savannah, so it's thrilling for me to read a book and suddenly excitedly smack the leg of whoever has the misfortune of being in the vicinity and yell "Hey that's right up the street!" Frasier has done her homework, and this book should please any inhabitant of the Lowcountry, especially if they're a fan of a good murder mystery. ⭐️

This wasn't as good as The Body Reader. Some weird choppy jumps in dialogue in setting threw me off. Overall though I enjoyed it. I'll definitely pick up the next book. I found David probably the most engaging of characters, as he seemed to have developed the best.
