Spirit Junkie: A Radical Road to Self-Love and Miracles | Gabrielle Bernstein
How does a New York City publicist and party girl turn into a go to guide for the next generation? In her new book, Spirit Junkie: A Radical Road to Self-Love and Miracles, Gabrielle Bernstein shares the story of how she transformed her life, offering her spiritual journey as a guidebook for overcoming fear, changing perceptions, and creating a life youre psyched to wake up for. Bernstein has traded self-doubt and addiction for a new kind of high. In 2005 she became a student of A Course in Miracles and since then she has been guided to teach those spiritual principles to the next generation of seekers. From the Hardcover edition.

“I‘ve learned that fear is simply an illusion based on past experiences that we project into the present and onto the future.”

While I did beat this in 2017 my goal this year is some longer reads and spending more time on some self improvement books that I love.

Bernstein is always mentioned in discussions of selfcare so I figured it was time I give her a try. This was okay. I breezed through and didn't take the time to work the exercises because I just wasn't feeling it. I'm going to see how I do with Williamson's Return to Love.

I saw mixed reviews of this on Goodreads that almost turned me off of this one, but I am so glad I decided to give it a try anyway! Gabrielle Bernstein is so kind, fun and relatable while also doing an amazing job as a teacher and guide. Loving this!

Finished my first book of 2017. Listened on audible. Any enjoyable look at mindfulness and choosing love over fear.

Whether you are a student in A Course in Miracles or not, there is so much to be taken from this book. I loved how relatable Gabrielle was. It's as if you are learning and growing with Gabrielle as you read. A great choice if you are on the road to spiritual growth.

MrBook Never came across this one before. Interesting. 8y
