August has been a great reading month for me - in part #rushathon in part hols and some long travels this twisty, dark mystery was a good one to finish on. Forgotten how much I used to enjoy this author and whilst heavily unbelievable outcome it was a well crafted and compelling story!

pickI love twisty thrillers, and this one certainly had them! I thought I had it figured out at one point, and then the author took me on a wild roller coaster ride! Very few things were as they first appeared to be. Great read!

so-soSo maybe I read it cover to cover and maybe it is past my bedtime on a week night. But I just felt so bad for the poor family and Melanie that I wanted to get to the happy ending. All in all, a good suspense. A few mysteries weren't so secret, and one or two were a nice surprise!
