I love how this book uses shapes and colors to create different animals. This book is perfect when teach young kids not only reading but shapes, colors, and animals all in one book.

This Caldecott Award winning book is a great representation on how you can use reading through other subjects. This NF book is a great book to teach shapes in math. This book introduces so many shapes, how you can combine them, what you can make with them, and so on. This would be a great book to have students PR. Color Zoo by Lois Ehlert published in 1989 is an amazing book to have in the classroom!! it teaches animals and shapes all in one.

This book made me think about my childhood because we used to read books like this when I was in preschool and kindergarten!

This book was super interactive and fun for children! It was eye catching because of its bright colors, but it taught children lessons on shapes, color, and animals. It explains how different shapes can make one unique image!

I like this book because kids can imagine different things! It‘s also a book in which they can learn basic things like animals, shapes and colors.

Color Zoo by Lois Ehlert was published in 1989. The book is interactive in which kids can look at new animals and shapes. As the pages turn, different shapes come about and different animals are made. Super cute book!

This book would be perfect for children! The different shapes and colors would be very intriguing for them. They could learn different shapes, colors, and animals all in one book. I will definitely have this book in my classroom.

Color Zoo by Lois Ehlert, 1989. Caldecott Honor Book. The book shows different animals in a very unique way. Each page builds off each other to create the next animal. The animals are made up off different shapes. The colors are primary colors and they are bold which was very appealing! Each page is exciting with a new animal on it. At the end of the book there is a page with all the shapes and colors used throughout the book.

This book is all about shapes. It shows the beauty of geometry and gets students excited about math. I would use this as a RA or introduction to capture the students attention. #UCFSU19
