so-soSo at first, I wasn‘t a huge fan of this one. I just wasn‘t able to fall in love with these characters the way I did in the other books. Janet is too naive for her own good, Ewen was too hard-headed and straight up rude. The two of them together - I just felt like they were attacking each other more than falling in love. I didn‘t fully believe the relationship.
But around the last 1/4 of the book,I started to like the story like I did the others.
so-soA solid "Eh" from me. I liked the heroine, but good gods above, the hero could have been much better. Also the plot was not quite what I would have liked it to be, even if it had all the potential to be interesting. Oh well, at least I am done with this. On to the next one.
Just had a rather stressful day at work, and I can't focus on anything complicated. Now is as good a time as any to continue reading this series. At least I'm sure it will entertain :).
pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ These historical romances are well told and amazingly researched. I feel like I'm learning while being entertained.
