A Tale of Two Beasts | Fiona Roberton
7 posts | 5 read | 4 to read
When a little girl rescues a strange beast from the woods, she takes him home. But for some reason, the little beast is not happy! There are two sides to every story, and this funny and charming tale is no exception. Author/illustrator Fiona Roberton offers both points of view in this discussion-starting tale of the importance of seeing the world in different ways

This F picture book is about a little girl who rescues a strange beast in the woods and carries him home, but the beast escapes! This book is a funny and charming tale about seeing both sides of the story that could be used as S. UDL 7.3 could be used to ensure students have their focus on the book. ESOL 4 could be used if students are asked about their experience of seeing different perspectives.

KAdudu This looks like a fun interesting story to read. I can‘t wait to read it! 5y

A cute story about 2 different beasts...remember that there‘s always 2 sides to a story 😬👍🏻 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is really fun and smart! Roberton tells the story of a young girl who comes across a small beast creature and takes it home to take care of it but can't understand why it doesn't seem happy with her. Then the story is told from the creature's point-of-view, and the girl seems like the mean, strange one in that version. This book is a great way to teach children why taking wild animals home isn't always good, but it's good fun!

This is the BEST children's book I've ever read. My family loves it and I'm pretty sure everyone should read it at least once. Funny, with a great lesson in perspective.
