Five men murder an RUC Special Branch officer in front of his wife and son. The men who killed the RUC officer have been released from prison under the Good Friday agreement. And one by one someone is killing them, in exactly the same way that the RUC officer died. And possibly using his gun. Suspicion falls on the man's widow.

Palimpsest How are you enjoying the Ellis Peters mysteries? I read two and one I had already seen the movie version of. Do they have to be read in order? I think I didn‘t continue because I wasn‘t finding all of them at half price books and wanted to read them in order of publication. I specifically like that they are historical/ medieval. 5y
Andrew65 @Palimpsest They are very enjoyable reads, love the tibalries between the monks! I wasn‘t reading them in order and they held up very well, but decided to go back and try reading them in order to see if any underlying themes come through. They are set at a very turbulent time in English History. (edited) 5y
Palimpsest @Andrew65 thanks! I think I am going to re-visit them. Two of my favorite books are The Name of the Rose and Morality Play, so I‘m happy when I come across books of that ilk. 5y

Pickpick

Finished my first book during #24B4Monday #Readathon. This is a great series, and loved this his book which I found very difficult to put down. Spider Shepherd is a great character and this series is so well written. They deserve far more publicity than they get. I thoroughly recommend this book and this series for those of you that like Jack Reacher, Mitch Rapp, Gabriel Allon style books.
Currently at 1 hour 5 minutes.

Starting reading book 5 in the Spider Shepherd Series. These are always good reads and I‘m surprised they are not more widely know. Spider is an undercover operative for SOCA and is a great character.

Tove_Reads Spooky. Was just walking around one of the locations shown on Game of Thrones, and you post about the tagged title... 🤔 5y
EadieB @Tove_Reads Are you in Dubrovnik? The castle and gardens in Game of Thrones? 5y
EadieB @Tove_Reads Near Solin and Split. I stayed in Diocletian‘s Palace in Split. (edited) 5y
