On Strike: Six Key Labour Struggles in Canada 1919-1949 | Irving Abella

Returned these babies to the #library today after hanging onto them since mid-March. I‘d had Sons and Lovers since January and renewed it a couple times prior to the lockdown.

I‘ve taken out three books since my library reopened. We have to put them on hold and pick up at the door without entering the library building, so no browsing, but it‘s better than nothing.

vivastory Evie Wyld has a new one coming out in a couple of months. Looking forward to it

I am on Day 6 of the strike at my company and all I have to say is you really learn which customers care and which don‘t and it‘s pretty sad. And looks like we could be out for awhile. Only good thing is I am getting a tan lol. But truly I rather be working.

RamsFan1963 @Endowarrior21 Sadly it's been my experience that customers only care about you when you're of use to them. When that usefulness ends, so does their awareness of you or your situation. 5y

MrsGagnonreads2024 @RamsFan1963 it is sad but I can say 90% of my regular customers have been there for support not to cross. The customers we have seen cross are ones we think come from different stop and shops in the area. Because we don‘t recognize them. 5y
