This June 1977 shot of rioters really gave me pause. We still have so many social justice problems nationwide. Why do we do so poorly in this regard? Enough!

This shot is the main Chicago Public Library, before it became the Chicago Cultural Center. Even though I visited our neighborhood Blackstone branch weekly as a kid, I wasn't a stranger to this location, which was just a 15-min IC train ride away from my Hyde Park home.
